Every Monday we hope to provide our readers with snapshots of films being released for the upcoming weekend. This will be a brief summary of films that will assist our readers in the area of discernment. Instead of searching other sites and reading lengthy articles, it’s our hope to provide a concise list of all the films of the weekend in one consolidated post. Hyde Park on the Hudson – The story of FDR and a love affair he had with his cousin. Genre – drama, comedy, biography; content – language and sexuality.

Lay the Favorite – Vegas, corruption, and gambling told in a hilarious way. Genre – comedy; content – language, drug use, and nudity.

Playing for Keeps – A former soccer star begins coaching his son’s soccer team to the delight of all the soccer moms. Genre – romantic comedy; content – sexual situations and language.

Deadfall – A brother and sister hold a family hostage after a casino heist. Genre – drama, thriller; content – strong violence, language, and sexuality.
