snap·shot – a brief appraisal, summary, or profile.

Every Monday we hope to provide our readers with snapshots of films being released for the upcoming weekend. This will be a brief summary of films that will assist our readers in the area of discernment. Instead of searching other sites and reading lengthy articles, it’s our hope to provide a concise list of all the films of the weekend in one consolidated post. If you wonder why we don’t list the MPAA ratings, please click here.

Lincoln – As the Civil War continues to rage, America’s president struggles with continuing carnage on the battlefield and as he fights with many inside his own cabinet on the decision to emancipate the slaves. [IMBd] Genre – drama; content – violence and brief strong language.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (Part 2) – Please just promise us there won’t be a Part 3 to this vampire werewolf love story. Genre – fantasy, drama, romance, cheesy; content – violence, disturbing images, sensuality, partial nudity, & Taylor Lautner with his shirt off.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter – We know this movie was released this past summer, but wanted to use this time to point out the irony of the above two films being released this weekend.
