snap·shot – a brief appraisal, summary, or profile.

Every Monday we hope to provide our readers with snapshots of films being released for the upcoming weekend. This will be a brief summary of films that will assist our readers in the area of discernment.  Instead of searching other sites and reading lengthy articles, it’s our hope to provide a concise list of all the films of the weekend in one consolidated post. If you wonder why we don’t list the MPAA ratings, please click here.

  • Real Steel – In a futuristic movie about robot fighting, trainer, Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman), thinks he’s found a strong fighter in a discarded robot.  Genre – action, drama, sci-fi; content – violence & language.
  • The Ides of March – Based on the play by Beau Willimon, a young presidential staffer gets a gritty look at the corruption of politics on the campaign trail.  Genre – drama; content – strong language.
  • Human Centipede II – Audiences fell in love with Human Centipede I, so here is the highly anticipated sequel about a doctor who desires to make a centipede out of twelve people.  Genre – horror; content – gross (We usually cover large releases, but the stupidity of this limited release was hard to pass up.)
